A municipal restaurant and gallery were planed at Fudohson Park in Marumori. The architecture emerged over the pond which was formed by the convexity of the stream. Continous form was considered so as not to destroy the scene of Fudohson Park by a low roof. The beams of the roof were created by laminated lumbers and thick wooden boards, this was designed as thin as possible; an elastic form intended. The space was opened towards the park in order to enjoy the meal with a view. It symbolised a leaf which emegered in the water.
